Whitney’s leadership has contributed to record growth for Angel Oak and making the company known for superior client experience in the mortgage industry. When asked what attributes led to his success and Angel Oak’s he says, “It’s all about providing professional, consistent and proactive communication while serving the needs of others.” Whitney’s knowledge of conventional financing and portfolio lending options serves as a valuable resource to his clients helping diverse buyers find the loan that best suits their situation. As a result, he has consistently led highly productive and profitable sales teams. Whitney held an integral role in the creation of Angel Oak’s vast portfolio programs and is known as an expert in non-QM mortgage products.

Whitney brings over 25 years of expertise in the home lending industry. His career began with the Fidelity Group in 1992. From Fidelity, he successfully spearheaded the development and execution of several expansion initiatives within the in-town Atlanta market. These accomplishments included a new sales infrastructure for a top 10 bank holding company as well as two start-ups and three company acquisitions.

Whitney is one of the Southeast’s most sought after mortgage industry leader in mortgage origination. Industry accolades include being ranked as one of the top 5 originators in the state on several occasions. His consistency in outperforming as a top originator, embracing core values of integrity, remaining innovative for optimal growth in a challenging market, and vast experience is what sets him apart from other industry experts.

Whitney is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a native Atlantan. He currently resides in Marietta with his wife of 25 years, Laura and their three children.
